Ahhh lemme just say that this last weekend in Munich at Oktoberfest was the weekend of a lifetime. It’s not all about drinking beer all day. Well maybe it is for some people. But for me it was experiencing the German culture, and being a part of the culture.
entering:
the pretzels were the best i’ve EVER had in my entire life:
Here are what all of the beer tents look like on the outside:
inside the tents:
it was so CRAZY in there! We sat at huge long wooden tables with german men dressed in liederhosen:
I could honestly barely hold the beer mug it was so heavy!
the girlies:
there were beer carriages with horses
the food/hotdogs were amazing!
after we left the tents, we danced the robot outside to music! The dude in the background with the unibrow is PRETTY creepy
since there were no hostiles available for the weekend, we stayed with a German family. They were SO nice, and the mom even cooked us breakfast each morning. They were SO nice.
on the day we left, we visited some of the famous Munich monuments with Frederick, the guy we stayed with. I was amazed by the history and beauty of Munich. Below are plaques of the White Rose, a group that passed out flyers during WWII revealing news about concentration camps, fighting against the government at that time.
we also went to a gourgous park, and in the rivers, the mechanical engineers created waves where surfers could surf:
some of the buildings were absolutely gourgeous such as this clocktower:
the day ended with rubbing the lions nose for good luck!:
